ABOUT ME
Photography has been my life.
Some of my earliest memories are as a four year old in my father's darkroom, watching as he processed black and white prints. I was fascinated by the images appearing on the seemingly blank sheet of paper, and from this early age I was hooked.
This interest led to a career in television as a Lighting Cameraman, and more lately a Director of Photography and Film Director. I have worked on some of the country's best loved programs for the BBC, ITV and many other companies.
I've been lucky to have traveled extensively during my work, and have taken many never to be repeated journeys to far flung corners of the world.
This inspired me to start taking still photographs, capturing each distinct atmosphere.
This led quickly to requests for photographs from the many organizations I was filming for, and now I often combine both disciplines on shoots.
I love the human face and creating a portrait. I feel it's more than just pointing the camera at someone, and I always try and capture something of the person that words cannot express.
